InVisionFirst®-Lung (Liquid Biopsy)

What is InVisionFirst®- Lung (Liquid Biopsy)?

At NeoGenomics, we understand that you may have a lot of questions about living with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (aNSCLC). We’re here to offer information, answers, and support.

InVisionFirst®-Lung is a liquid biopsy (blood) test that can detect cancer cells within the body1

Just as we are all individuals, your aNSCLC is unique to you. As an important part of understanding your cancer and offering you the best care, your doctor may recommend a test called a biopsy.1 A biopsy can help your cancer care team identify specific markers within your cancer that could be a good target for personalized treatment.1,2 There are different types of biopsies:1

  • In a tissue biopsy, a specialist doctor removes a small sample of your tumor and looks at it under a microscope. Their goal is to closely assess the sample and gain more insights into your specific cancer.1
  • If there’s not enough tissue, or there’s a medical reason a tissue biopsy can’t be done, you may receive a test called liquid biopsy.2 Here, a sample of blood is used to help identify if there are any cancer cells circulating in your body.1

Your care team may also use both tissue and liquid biopsies to help get a complete picture of what’s going on in your body.2

InVisionFirst®-Lung is a liquid biopsy (blood) test used to help you and your care team determine the best treatment for you. This is known as precision medicine. The results can be available in as little as 7 days.
