Dr. Nowrouzi started at NeoGenomics on March 1, 2021. She is an AP/CP and Hematopathology Board Certified Pathologist. Before joining NeoGenomics, she worked as a Hematopathologist and the Director of Histology lab for 9 years at Hematogenix Laboratory, in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. She was extensively involved in different aspects of the Hematopathology Lab including flow cytometry and histology. Additionally, she has served as the principle investigator for clinical device trials in the pharma branch of that laboratory. Before that, she worked as a Surgical Pathologist/Hematopathologist in a hospital setting in Indiana. Dr. Nowrouzi finished her AP/CP residency training (where she also served as the Chief Resident) at East Tennessee State University followed by two years of Surgical Pathology and Hematopathology fellowships at Washington University in Saint Louis. Last year, she provided Hematopathology services for several hospitals in the Southern New England region in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, and served as the Medical Director of one of the labs (including directorship of the flow cytometry lab). She has been actively involved in various IHC validations and preparation of histology and flow cytometry labs for CAP inspections.
